Contain the outbreak

Viruses are closing in on a living cell. Deploy molecular defenses, adapt to each infection phase, and protect the nucleus until the immune response arrives.

Target session · 2½ minutes

How to play

Keep cell integrity above zero until the 2½-minute immune-response timer expires.

  1. Select a defense from the palette. On a keyboard, press 1–4.
  2. Click or tap in the arena to deploy it. Defenses must be placed near or inside the cell where their biology makes sense.
  3. Neutralized viruses release ATP. Spend it carefully as infection phases increase viral speed, armor, and replication.
  4. Watch the membrane: any virus that reaches the nucleus damages cell integrity.
Receptor shield · 20 ATPDurable membrane barricade; best placed near the cell edge.
Antibody node · 25 ATPRapid automatic attacks against the nearest exposed virus.
Interferon field · 30 ATPWide slowing field that weakens replication surges.
Apoptosis pulse · 40 ATPImmediate local purge; powerful against clustered threats.

Tip: Move quickly. Combining slowing fields with antibody nodes makes every ATP point work harder.

For the curious at heart. A pocket-sized collection of science-inspired games.
