How to play

Each investigation gives you 150 seconds of active play. Untimed study uses the same biology and scoring. Instructions, evidence review, explanations, codex and a hidden browser tab stop active time.

  1. Read the cell context. Choose two network nodes or the From/To selectors and record the required relationships. Invalid proposals receive scientific feedback. Enable contact or circulation when appropriate.
  2. Select an experimental condition and record a prediction. Run the authored condition and a relevant restoration or receiver-positive control. Experiments are independent comparisons, not permanent upgrades.
  3. Compare separate readouts and time courses. Use Review evidence to inspect the full records without a running clock.
  4. Explain the mechanism using at least two distinct records, including the authored condition and a relevant control. Select the evidence limit. Complete two explained knowledge questions.

Keyboard: Tab/Enter operate controls; Enter or Space selects SVG nodes; P pauses outside dialogs and form inputs. Mouse connections are immediate, with no dragging delay. Touch uses the same buttons. Scoring: 25 each for a compatible network, informative evidence, supported explanation and a correct inference limit. No speed or maximum-signal bonuses. Timeout preserves evidence and offers study continuation.

Graphs summarize selected mechanisms. Biological rates, doses, distances and quantitative gain are not calibrated. Observed reporter activity does not establish every downstream function or a cell fate. Independent instructor scientific review is pending.

INVESTIGATION BRIEF · CLOCK PAUSED

Compare an authored condition with a relevant positive control or restoration. A recorded connection describes a relationship; it does not create a new molecular reaction.

Evidence review · clock paused

EXPLAIN · CLOCK PAUSED

What does the evidence support?

Select two or more distinct records, including the authored condition and a relevant control that tests your explanation.
